A Legacy Built
Before It Had a Name
For fifty years, Dr. Innocent and Victoria Ononiwu poured themselves into children's souls, entrepreneurs' dreams, and the frontiers of science — long before there was a foundation to call home. Now there is.
Two people. Same village roots. Same calling.
Dr. Innocent and Victoria Ononiwu both grew up as the fifth of seven children in Nigeria — a detail that sounds like coincidence, but to those who know them, feels more like providence. They met at Obafemi Awolowo University in Ile-Ife, married, and spent the next four decades carrying their faith, their knowledge, and their extraordinary generosity across two continents.
From the Happiness Club in Ile-Ife — a children's ministry Dr. Innocent founded in the 1970s — to a postdoctoral fellowship that brought them to America in 2003, to the founding of Aloft Healthcare in Maryland, the Ononiwus have never stopped building. Every season, every city, every new beginning has deepened their conviction that what they carry is not just for themselves.
The foundation is not a new chapter. It is the next verse of a song they have been singing for fifty years.

Raise a Generation
From the Happiness Club in 1970s Ile-Ife to children's churches in Maryland, Virginia, and Pennsylvania — Dr. Innocent and Victoria have given their lives to raising children who know and love the Lord. The foundation continues that mission.

As immigrants who built Aloft Healthcare from the ground up, the Ononiwus know what it takes — and what it costs — to start a business in a new country. The foundation exists to help others who have the vision but not yet the means.
Explore entrepreneurship →Fund Discovery
Biomedical research is the reason the Ononiwu family came to America. Dr. Innocent completed three postdoctoral fellowships and spent 33 years in medical and pharmacy schools. The foundation will support the scientists who come after him.

Dr. Innocent Ononiwu — pharmacist, PhD, author of four books, children's pastor, and Medical Director of Aloft Healthcare — has spent his career in service of others. Victoria Ononiwu — registered nurse, Master's in French, MBA in Healthcare, CEO of Aloft Healthcare — has matched him step for step.
They have five children and five grandchildren. They have lived in Maryland, Chesapeake, and now York, Pennsylvania. They have served in churches, built businesses, mentored pastors, and changed lives — quietly, faithfully, and without fanfare.
The foundation is their thank-you to a God who has been faithful, and their investment in a world that still needs them.
Building something that serves the most vulnerable in our community — that is not just a business. It is a calling.
— Dr. Innocent Ononiwu
"Every person who comes through the doors of this foundation carries a story that hasn't finished yet. Your generosity writes the next chapter."
